Product Description

XLNT AP8628 Airless Paint Sprayer for Faster Wall Painting

The XLNT AP8628 1000W Airless Paint Sprayer is a portable electric painting machine designed for walls, ceilings, furniture, renovation work and other compatible coating applications.

Unlike a conventional pneumatic spray gun, an airless sprayer uses a high-pressure pump to deliver paint through the hose and spray tip without requiring a separate air compressor. This makes the AP8628 a practical option for painters, contractors, interior workers and property owners handling medium-scale painting work.

The machine operates on a rated 220V electrical supply and provides a listed maximum pressure of 3000 PSI, equivalent to approximately 20.7 MPa. It also delivers a listed flow rate of 2.2 litres per minute, supporting faster coverage than manual brushes and rollers when the paint is prepared correctly.

1000W Electric Motor

The XLNT AP8628 has a rated power of 1000W.

The motor powers the internal airless pump, which draws coating material through the suction hose and sends it to the spray gun through the high-pressure hose.

Actual spraying performance will depend on:

  • Paint type
  • Paint viscosity
  • Nozzle condition
  • Filter cleanliness
  • Hose condition
  • Electrical-supply stability
  • Spray pressure
  • Operator technique

The machine should be connected to a properly wired 220V outlet. Avoid using undersized extension cables because voltage drop may reduce performance and cause cable heating.

3000 PSI Maximum Pressure

The airless paint sprayer has a listed maximum pressure of 3000 PSI, approximately 20.7 MPa.

High-pressure paint delivery helps atomise compatible coating material into a controlled spray pattern. This can support faster and more even application across larger surfaces when compared with manual painting methods.

Pressure should be kept only as high as necessary to achieve a clean spray pattern. Excessive pressure may cause:

  • Increased overspray
  • Faster nozzle wear
  • More paint mist
  • Higher material consumption
  • Reduced control around edges

Always test the spray pattern on cardboard or scrap material before painting the final surface.

2.2 L/min Flow Rate

The XLNT AP8628 has a listed maximum flow rate of 2.2 litres per minute.

Flow rate indicates the amount of coating material the pump can deliver under suitable operating conditions. Actual output can vary according to the paint, nozzle, pressure and hose setup.

A higher material flow can help painters cover walls and ceilings efficiently, but the operator must maintain a steady movement to avoid runs, sagging and excessive coating buildup.

Standard 517 Spray Nozzle

The machine uses a standard 517 spray nozzle.

The nozzle controls paint delivery and spray-pattern formation. It should be selected according to the coating manufacturer’s recommendations and the surface being painted.

The 517 nozzle may be suitable for many general wall-painting applications, but coating compatibility must be checked before use. Thick coatings may require preparation or a different approved tip.

Never clean the spray-tip opening using fingers, nails, wire or sharp metal objects.

7.6-Metre High-Pressure Hose

The included high-pressure hose has a listed length of 7.6 metres.

The hose provides useful working reach when painting walls, ceilings, rooms and larger panels. It allows the sprayer unit to remain in a stable location while the operator moves around the working area with the spray gun.

Before spraying, inspect the hose for:

  • Cuts
  • Cracks
  • Bulges
  • Leakage
  • Damaged fittings
  • Kinks
  • Heavy abrasion

Never repair a damaged high-pressure paint hose using tape, clamps or temporary connectors.

83 MPa Hose Pressure Rating

The supplied hose has a listed maximum pressure rating of 83 MPa.

This is the hose’s construction rating and should not be confused with the machine’s 3000 PSI maximum output pressure.

Use only compatible high-pressure airless-paint hoses and fittings. Ordinary water hoses or pneumatic air hoses are not suitable replacements.

Airless Spray Gun

A high-pressure spray gun is included with the XLNT AP8628.

The trigger-operated gun allows the painter to start and stop material flow while controlling the spray direction. The gun should remain locked whenever it is not actively being used.

Before pulling the trigger:

  • Confirm that the hose is secure
  • Fit the nozzle guard correctly
  • Check the nozzle position
  • Point the gun away from people
  • Maintain a stable stance
  • Test the pattern on scrap material

Never place a hand or finger in front of the nozzle.

Extension Wand for Better Reach

An extension wand is supplied between the spray gun and nozzle assembly.

The extension can help the operator reach higher wall sections, ceilings and recessed areas while maintaining a more comfortable working position.

Do not overreach or operate from an unstable ladder. For tall surfaces, use proper access equipment and maintain control of the pressurised hose.

Suction Hose with Inlet Filter

The sprayer includes a suction hose with an inlet filter or strainer.

The suction hose draws coating material directly from the paint container. The filter helps reduce the entry of larger particles and dried material into the pump.

Before use:

  • Mix the coating thoroughly
  • Strain the paint where required
  • Place the suction filter fully inside the container
  • Keep it below the paint level
  • Check that the hose is not folded
  • Ensure the filter is clean

A blocked inlet filter can reduce paint flow and cause irregular spraying.

Suitable for Wall Painting

The XLNT AP8628 is designed for compatible interior and exterior wall-painting work.

It can support applications such as:

  • Interior wall painting
  • Exterior wall coating
  • Apartment renovation
  • House repainting
  • Commercial-interior work
  • Boundary-wall painting
  • Ceiling coating
  • Rental-property maintenance

Always confirm that the coating is suitable for airless application and compatible with the installed nozzle.

Suitable for Ceiling Painting

The extension wand and long hose make the machine useful for compatible ceiling-painting work.

When spraying overhead:

  • Wear eye and respiratory protection
  • Keep the hose behind the working position
  • Protect floors and furniture
  • Maintain a consistent gun distance
  • Avoid excessive paint flow
  • Use stable access equipment

Do not spray directly toward electrical fixtures, fans or exposed wiring.

Suitable for Furniture and Panel Coating

The AP8628 can also be considered for compatible furniture, panel and woodworking coatings.

Final finish quality will depend on:

  • Surface preparation
  • Paint viscosity
  • Nozzle choice
  • Spray distance
  • Pressure setting
  • Number of coats
  • Drying conditions

Test the setup before applying paint to valuable furniture or finished panels.

Paint Preparation

Coating material should be prepared according to the paint manufacturer’s instructions.

Before spraying:

  • Mix the paint thoroughly
  • Remove skin or dried material
  • Strain the coating where recommended
  • Follow the correct thinning ratio
  • Check nozzle compatibility
  • Test the spray pattern
  • Protect surrounding surfaces

Do not automatically thin every paint. Some airless-compatible coatings are designed to be sprayed without dilution.

Priming the Sprayer

The pump and hose must be properly primed before spraying.

A normal preparation sequence includes:

  • Checking all hose connections
  • Placing the suction hose in the coating
  • Positioning the return or priming line correctly
  • Selecting the priming mode where applicable
  • Allowing coating to fill the pump
  • Removing trapped air
  • Testing the gun safely

Follow the operating manual for the exact priming procedure.

Cleaning After Use

The machine should be cleaned immediately after each painting session.

Dried coating inside the pump, hose, filter, gun or nozzle can cause blockage and damage.

After painting:

  • Release system pressure
  • Empty remaining coating safely
  • Flush with a compatible cleaning liquid
  • Clean the suction filter
  • Clean the spray tip and guard
  • Flush the gun and hose
  • Wipe the machine exterior
  • Store all parts dry

Use water for compatible water-based coatings and the coating manufacturer’s approved cleaning solution for other materials.

Safe Operating Guidance

Airless sprayers operate at extremely high fluid pressure. Paint injection through the skin can cause a serious medical emergency.

Never:

  • Point the spray gun at a person or animal
  • Place fingers near the nozzle
  • Check leaks using your hand
  • Remove the hose while pressurised
  • Clean the nozzle before releasing pressure
  • Use damaged hoses
  • Spray near flames or ignition sources
  • Leave the machine pressurised unattended

Wear suitable respiratory protection, eye protection, gloves, protective clothing and closed footwear.
